Our Promise

The Minnow Lake Foundation operates from the premise that camping is an excellent way to bring people together for the better good of society.  At camp, cultural barriers disappear and people become one with each other and the world.  Our purpose is to take advantage of this unique phenomenon of camping and use it to stress the need for individual well being and active participation in bringing about family unity and societal balance.

The foundation’s camp program, Camp Minnow Lake, advocates personal responsibility for the quality of life in our families and in our communities.  We believe each of us, with the proper knowledge, can play an important part in creating a healthy, sustainable future and a kinder, more tolerant world.

Our program design team has created comprehensive and varied programs offering hands on, real world, usable skills, which challenge the mind, the body and the spirit, enabling each camper to experience genuine personal growth.

Along with being a place to learn, Camp Minnow Lake is a place for the child in each of us.  It is a place to share, a place to play, and a place to grow.  It is everything a camp should be.  Families from all cultures enjoy our programs.  We offer "camperships" to our veterans and their families as well as to all families that may need assistance in order to participate in our camp programs.

Campers are encouraged to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.  They are constantly reinforced by the love and support of the camp family.  A quality living environment and our wide range of programs stimulate participants to maintain the highest degree of teamwork while fostering self-esteem, self-sufficiency, human respect and dignity.

At Camp Minnow Lake, people learn together to care for each other and for their society in a secure, comfortable and fun environment.  Campers complete the program instilled with the spirit of camping and empowered to carry it on.
